Dear Juliet Has A Suitor

Act 1 Scene 3:

Today was interesting. Lady Capulet summoned Juliet and ordered me to leave the room. The look on her face was obvious that she was going to talk to Juliet about something uncomfortable. I knew I would be needed there to break the ice. So I leisurely strolled out of the room, and moments later was beckoned to come back. Of course she needed me there; I practically raised the girl! I remember thirteen years ago when she was born; she was sucking the milk from my breast by the dove house wall.

Anyway, Lady Capulet told Juliet that County Paris wished to marry her. Boy, I was not expecting that one. Like I said, Juliet's not even fourteen yet and she plans on getting married?!? Juliet didn't say much about the topic, but the look in her eye told me she did not want to get married to him. County Paris is a beautiful looking man, but that isn't enough for my dear Juliet. She needs a man who will do anything for her and who loves her passionately. Well, Lady Capulet kept saying something about a book. Who knows what she was talking about, because I sure had no clue. All I kept imagining was Juliet becoming pregnant, because that always happens with men. They only want to do it with you.

Oh well. Lady Capulet was sure fond of this idea. She told Juliet that County Paris was coming to the party and that she should get to know him for more than his looks. I know Juliet and this plan will not go far. But what do I know, I'm just a nurse.
